Your new company A well-established and highly regarded Australian SME, with operations across multiple Sydney sites, is seeking an experienced WHS and HR Coordinator.
Working for a fun, fast paced business with supportive leaders and a truly people focused culture, this is a unique opportunity to make a genuine impact on both workplace safety and employee experience.Your new roleReporting to the Head of HR, you will take ownership of workplace health and safety coordination for the organisation as well as support in all areas of HR and Recruitment administrationA very varied HR role where no two days are the sameYou will partner closely with a diverse range of operational leaders in both blue and white collar as well as a contracting base, to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with WHS legislation Conduct WHS inductions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for a number of sitesManage incident reporting, investigations, workers compensation claims and RTW processesAdvise and support employees when reporting incidents and managing their safety and wellbeingCoordinate WHS Committee meetings and reportingConduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.Deliver and facilitate training sessions and onboarding as well as safety briefings Maintain WHS documentation, policies and proceduresOversee and update the WHS Management SystemManage employee licences, certifications and compliance records.End to end recruitment for a variety of roles including head office, creative and technicalManaging references,
visas and compliance checks on new employeesResponsible for all onboarding and offboardingMaintain employee records and HRIS system as well as updating contracts and drafting new employment letters.Provide first line HR advice on all ER and performance matters from across the businessWorking closely with the Head of HR in delivering culture and engagement programs and initiatives, reward & recognitionWhat you'll need to succeedPrevious experience as an WHS Coordinator role with ideally 2 years in a similar roleWHS Experience ideally with white collar and technical employees, as this is not a heavy unionised workforceWorking knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and the Fair Work ActA proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisationIdeally have worked in a multi site style role previously and is open to travel and working in different locationsHR experience in a support role is also idealTertiary qualification in HR or WHS is desirable but not essentialWhat you'll get in returnSalary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 + SuperWorking for a fantastic HR leader who is keen to develop and mentor youThis is FT role with 1 day a week WFHOpportunity to work across a energetic and unique industryA great, fun and supporting culture - a unique industry to work for leadership team and collaborative cultureDiverse and varied role with genuine autonomy and stakeholder engagementLHS *************** - Kat McCarthy
