We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO to lead portfolio governance, planning and delivery across a complex and fast-moving technology and transformation setting.This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can bring structure, visibility and commercial discipline to a significant portfolio of strategic initiatives while enabling delivery teams to move at pace.The Role Reporting into senior technology leadership, you will take ownership of the PMO function and provide oversight across the organisation's technology and transformation portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:Lead and evolve the Project Management Office, establishing fit-for-purpose governance and delivery frameworksProvide oversight across a portfolio of complex technology, digital and transformation programsOwn portfolio planning, prioritisation, sequencing and delivery reportingPartner with executives to ensure investment is aligned to business strategy and prioritiesEstablish clear visibility across budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, issues and delivery milestonesLead portfolio financial management, forecasting and investment trackingDrive effective resource and capacity planning across internal teams, contractors and delivery partnersEstablish consistent project and program governance while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracyProvide high-quality portfolio reporting and insights to executive stakeholdersIdentify delivery risks and dependencies early and drive appropriate interventionSupport Project and Program Managers to improve delivery capability and accountabilityManage and influence third-party vendors and strategic delivery partnersContinuously improve PMO processes, tools,



methodologies and ways of workingBuild a high-performing PMO and portfolio delivery capabilityAbout YouYou will be an established PMO, Portfolio or Transformation leader who has operated across large and complex organisations.You'll ideally bring:Significant experience leading an enterprise or technology PMOStrong technology and digital transformation portfolio experienceExperience managing large, complex and concurrent programs of workExcellent portfolio governance, prioritisation and planning capabilityStrong financial management and commercial acumenExperience with resource planning and portfolio capacity managementStrong understanding of project and program delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environmentsExperience managing vendors and external delivery partnersDemonstrated ability to influence senior executives and challenge constructivelyStrong executive reporting and communication skillsExperience building or transforming PMO functions and improving delivery maturityA pragmatic approach — able to introduce appropriate governance without slowing deliveryExperience within a large-scale consumer, retail, digital, eCommerce, hospitality or similarly high-volume environment would be highly regarded.The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible PMO function within a major consumer organisation where technology plays a critical role in business performance.You'll have the mandate to improve how strategic initiatives are prioritised, governed, funded, resourced and delivered, while working closely with senior technology and business leaders to drive successful transformation.
