About the roleWe are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to our business.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our financial operations and reporting infrastructure.
As Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting and reporting services that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of our financial reporting, and will have a significant impact on the broader business.Key responsibilitiesPreparing, reviewing and maintaining accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirementsManaging the general ledger, including account reconciliations, journal entries and month-end and year-end close processesAnalysing financial data and identifying variances, preparing explanations and recommendations for managementCoordinating with external auditors and preparing supporting documentation for audit proceduresImplementing and maintaining internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance and minimise riskAssisting with the preparation of management accounts, financial reports and ad-hoc analysis to support business requirementsParticipating in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operationsStaying current with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliancePrepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.Develop insightful management reports to support strategic decisions.Coordinate and consolidate budgets and forecasts across departments.Familiar with Manufacturing environment including cost accounting.Manage the weekly payroll and disbursements.Fair Work & Modern Award Expertise: Essential for a production company to accurately calculate complex overtime, shift allowances, and penalty rates.STP Phase 2 & Superannuation: Must have proven experience handling Single Touch Payroll (STP)



reporting and managing superannuation.What we're looking forA recognised accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, CAANZ or equivalent professional designationMinimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within a corporate or manufacturing environmentStrong technical knowledge of financial accounting principles, AIFRS and accounting systemsDemonstrated experience in preparing and managing financial statements and month-end or year-end close processesProficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems, including ERP platformsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis toolsExcellent attention to detail and strong analytical capability to identify and resolve accounting issuesThe ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesA commitment to maintaining professional standards and ethical practices in financial reportingFamiliarity with local payroll tax thresholds and WorkCover management for 40 staffExperience in full cycle of Financial ERP system.
