Community Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Brisbane

Spinal Life Australia is a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation supporting people living with spinal cord injury to live independently and with dignity in their own homes.
We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team to travel and support clients within Southeast Queensland (Brisbane & surrounds).
Full time and part-time opportunities are available.

About the role
As a Community Nurse, you will deliver holistic, in-home nursing care to individuals living with spinal cord injury.
You will work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to support client wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include
Bladder, bowel, continence, and respiratory management
Complex wound care and pressure injury management
Catheter changes and clinical assessments
Tracheostomy care and respiratory support (training provided if required)




Client education and empowerment to promote independence
Clinical guidance and training for Personal Support Workers
Liaising with allied health professionals and external providers
Client visits - within southeast Queensland (Brisbane & surrounds)
What we are looking for
Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
Minimum two years post-graduate nursing experience (community nursing preferred)
Current Queensland Driver's Licence
Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
A caring, empathetic, and person-centred approach
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience working with people with spinal cord injury
Experience or interest in tracheostomy and ventilation care
