This is a full-time position working an 8D6X 7N7X roster and reports directly to the Laboratory Supervisor.As a Laboratory Technician you operate and maintain the site assay lab and will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipmentEnsure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teamsInspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controlsAccurate and timely reporting of analytical resultsPerform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limitsEnsuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety StandardsContribute to daily PSI meetingsProactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request RegisterWhat is Required:Demonstrated experience working in similar position within an automated laboratory environmentMSL***** Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable)Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environmentA robust commitment to commitment to safetyHigh attention to detailAbility to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlinesFull Australian working rightsCurrent WA C Class Drivers LicenceAbout Onslow & Kens BoreOnslow Iron is one of the largest iron ore projects under development in Australia, set to unlock billions of tonnes of stranded deposits in the West Pilbara region.
