The Opportunity Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a placement within the Extended Day Surgery in Mackay.This is a great opportunity for a confident RN looking to work within a wide-ranging surgical environment, supporting patients across the surgical continuum from pre-admission through to post-discharge care.The Day Surgery Unit includes:Pre-admission clinicDay of surgery admissionsSecond-stage day-only recoveryExtended day surgeryEndoscopyPatient and staff educationMultidisciplinary consultation and patient-centred careThe unit supports a range of diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy and ERCP.About the PlacementThis is a ward based role within the Extended Day Surgery Unit, with 24/7 shift work, including early, late and night shifts.There may also be an opportunity or requirement to pool to other wards as needed,



so flexibility and the ability to adapt to different clinical environments is highly desirable.What We're Looking ForCurrent AHPRA registrationStrong clinical skills and confidence working in a hospital environmentPrevious experience in day surgery, surgical, endoscopy or acute care environments highly regardedKnowledge of ieMR and proficiency using the systemPrevious experience working in Australia, Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS highly regardedAbility to work rotating shifts, including early, late and night shiftsFlexibility to work across other wards if requiredContract Details31 August ********* October ****Rotating 6, 8, 10 and 12-hour shiftsWorking days and days off as per rosterWhy Troocoo Healthcare?
