With a strong project portfolio and an established reputation for technical excellence, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of critical programs across the business.Your new role Reporting to the Program Manager, you will take ownership of project delivery outcomes across cost, schedule, quality, risk and stakeholder management.
You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams while acting as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors and key internal stakeholders.Key responsibilitiesManaging project plans, budgets, schedules and forecasts to ensure successful project deliveryLeading customer reviews, project governance meetings, gate reviews and progress reporting activitiesEstablishing and managing subcontractor arrangements and supplier relationshipsIdentifying and mitigating project risks while driving effective project controls and reportingProviding leadership and direction to engineering and support teams to achieve key project milestonesManaging project plans, budgets, schedules and forecasts to ensure successful project deliveryLeading customer reviews, project governance meetings,



gate reviews and progress reporting activitiesEstablishing and managing subcontractor arrangements and supplier relationshipsIdentifying and mitigating project risks while driving effective project controls and reportingProviding leadership and direction to engineering and support teams to achieve key project milestonesWhat you'll need to succeedDemonstrated experience managing engineering, systems development or defence projectsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teamsExperience managing project budgets, schedules and commercial outcomesKnowledge of project planning, scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) principlesStrong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skillsExcellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to project deliveryAn Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.In return, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and nationally significant defence projects while joining a collaborative and highly skilled team environment.
