Our state-of-the-art laboratories are strategically placed to help provide a wide range of inspection and laboratory testing services across a broad range of commodities.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Laboratory Manager for our Geo-Analytical Laboratory in Adelaide, SA who will be responsible for managing laboratory operations.
In this role you will be responsible for the effective management, operation, and the safety of the laboratory.
You will coordinate activities, provide technical support, and oversee staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a clean and safe working environment for staff to safely work and develop following all QHSE procedures and policiesEnsuring the Financial and Functional control of the Lab meets or exceeds the KPI's and the business expectations, to maximise the operational profitProvide feedback regarding quality of work and requirements for improvement to the Laboratory Staff, monitoring performance and development and performance manage where requiredMaximise equipment efficiencies, ensuring equipment is regularly Maintained,



Calibrated and Repaired in a timely mannerProvide technical support to our Business Development TeamProvide feedback and background to the origin of samples, the process the sample undergoes before it reaches the laboratory and the relevance of the quality of standards and information provided to clientsEnsure ISO **** and ISO ***** accreditation is kept and managedCoordination of day-to-day operational requirements of the testing laboratory and ensure work is completed in a timely mannerSupervision and management of laboratory staff including training and upskilling of techniciansParticipate in arranging and hosting current client and prospective client visitsAbout YouBachelor of Science in Chemistry or related courseA dedication to a safe workplace culture and adherence to local WHS laws.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new initiatives that improve the department/organisationKnowledge of ISO/IEC ***** requirementsKnowledge of laboratory equipment, related supplies, computer hardware and software, and their applicationsExtensive experience in Geo-analytical LaboratoriesGood understanding of sample testing operations and maintenance is requiredStrong communication, leadership and organisational skills are required.Proficient computer software literacyExcellent organisational, teamwork,
