Bornhorst + Ward is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join our dynamic Brisbane team.
This is a hands-on role suited to a driven professional who thrives both on site and in the detail of contract administration, and who can confidently work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.With a strong pipeline of civil projects, we are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and commercial awareness to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.About the RoleYou will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from site coordination and technical delivery through to contract management and client liaison.
Our projects include:Bulk earthworksRoad constructionCarparks and hardstand areasResidential subdivisionsUnderground infrastructure services including stormwater, sewer and water reticulationKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee day-to-day site activitiesMonitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with drawings and specificationsReview and interpret engineering designs and resolve technical issues on siteLiaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and local authoritiesEnsure works are delivered in accordance with safety and environmental standardsProvide mentoring and technical guidance to junior staffContracts AdministrationAdminister contracts in accordance with AS**** and AS****Prepare, review, and manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and payment schedulesAssist with procurement and subcontract managementMonitor project budgets and cost control measuresMaintain accurate project documentation and reportingSupport risk management and contractual compliance across projectsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have:Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction and site worksDemonstrated experience in contract administration within civil projectsStrong understanding of civil design principles and construction practicesProven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteA collaborative leadership style with the ability to manage and support a project teamQualifications & RequirementsCivil Engineering degree or Civil Engineering qualification (TAFE or equivalent)RPEQ registrationCurrent Driver's LicenceWhite Card (Construction Induction)What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary package reflective of your experience and expertise, along with a negotiable vehicle package upon successful completion of probation.
