Maintenance Fitter – South Nowra, NSWFull-Time Permanent Opportunity | Food Manufacturing | Up to $40/hr base rate + shift loading + SuperHays are currently partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business in South Nowra to recruit an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their Engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys a hands-on role, working across preventative maintenance, breakdown response, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects within a quick-paced production environment.About the RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, you will join a close-knit maintenance team consisting of Maintenance Fitters and a Maintenance Manager who oversees day-to-day operations.Working across rotating shifts, you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting the installation and commissioning of a new manufacturing line.HoursFull-time permanent position 37.5 hours per weekRotating shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm 11:00am - 7:00pmFlexibility to work both shifts is essential, although afternoon-focused arrangements may be considered following successful training.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventative and scheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipmentRespond to machinery breakdowns, faults,



jams and equipment failuresTroubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to minimise downtimeAssist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projectsSupport the commissioning of a new gummies production lineEnsure machinery and components meet Australian safety standardsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationPromote and follow all workplace safety, GMP and food safety proceduresAbout YouTrade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance FitterPrevious experience working within a manufacturing environmentStrong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance capabilityExperience with preventative maintenance programmesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvementHighly DesirableFood manufacturing experienceUnderstanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Exposure to food safety and quality systemsExperience working with automated production equipmentExperience commissioning or installing new machineryWhat's on Offer?
