They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.Salary - $120,000 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experienceType – PermanentLocation – Adelaide, SAAt least 4 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering positionDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarHighly skilled with 3D CAD, ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 etc.Experience designing machinery with moving mechanisms, actuators, drives, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, or other mechanical assembliesKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system design, including cylinders, valves, manifolds, and associated components.Experience working with fabricated steelwork, sheet metal, machined components, and welded assembliesGood theoretical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesStrong practical skills with hand calculations, manufacturing,



testing and prototypingExperienced designing products from concept to productionAble to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgetsAble to maintain technical documentation and BOM entryAble to work well individually as well as part of a teamKey ResponsibilitiesUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsManaging the full product lifecycle from concept to productionCollaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projectsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assemblyCreating required documentation for design and project reportsUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system and creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small, multi-disciplinary team on diverse projects
