This role offers a mix of compliance, advisory, and client-facing work, ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure compliance into more strategic, value-added services.
You will work closely with the Director and play a key role in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesTax & CompliancePreparation of Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)Preparation of statutory financial statements and workpapersGeneral ledger maintenance and reconciliationsAssist with ATO audits and compliance mattersLiaise with ATO and ASIC on behalf of clientsAdvisory & Business ServicesAssist with tax planning for business and high-income clientsProvide business structuring and tax advicePrepare management reports, budgets and cash flow forecastsSupport high-net-worth clients and complex structuresContribute to consulting and special client projectsClient & Team EngagementManage and maintain strong client relationshipsWork collaboratively with team members and the DirectorIdentify proactive tax and business improvement opportunitiesAssist with client file management and internal processesQualifications8+ years experience in Business Services / Public PracticeStrong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standardsExcellent communication and client management skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesProactive and commercially minded approachValid Australian work rights (no sponsorship required)Required SkillsSystems ExperienceXero, MYOB or similar accounting softwareExperience with CCH (desirable but not essential)
