As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Transport/Logistics Managerto join our energetic dispatch team and oversee the day-to-day transportation operations forour busy manufacturing facility.Role Overview:As the Transport/Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficientmovement of goods from our warehouse directly to our customers.
You will be responsiblefor organising and managing a fleet of 25 trucks, scheduling multiple daily runs, andcoordinating logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
This is a genuineopportunity to shape how our transport operation runs and grows - your organisational skillsand ability to lead a team will be key to maintaining our high service standards and meetingKey Responsibilities:Oversee the schedule of pre-organised daily routes for a fleet of 25 trucks, ensuringon-time deliveries and efficient operations.Coordinate multiple runs where required across Monday to Friday, consideringoptimal routes, traffic patterns, and delivery windows including prioritising AM cranemeets / high volume customers.Manage a team of drivers, providing leadership, support, and ensuring safety andcompliance with regulations.Monitor fleet performance and work with maintenance teams to ensure trucks are intop working condition and with all required gear (e.g. straps, safety cones, etc.).
Organise and facilitate truck inspections for registrations as required.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs,



and vehicle maintenanceschedules including working with delivery technology (e.g. in-vehicle cameras,mapping programs).
Communicate with internal departments, including production and customer service,to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.Liaise with customers directly where required to ensure optimal deliveries.Manage budgets and track transport costs, identifying areas for cost reduction andMonitor loading requirements for compliance, product protection and quality assurances.Supporting the loading team through on-site training, supervision and safetyoversight.Requirements:Proven experience in transport or logistics management, preferable within amanufacturing or similar industry.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment.Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage drivers and collaborate across teams.
In-depth knowledge of transport regulations, health & safety standards, and compliance requirements.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting on the go.
