Why your role is important
The Manager, User Experience provides leadership for the Library's overall client experience, ensuring that Library clients encounter the Library as a cohesive, welcoming and enabling part of their UTS experience.
The role leads integrated experience strategies across physical spaces, digital touchpoints, engagement programs, services and communications, with a particular focus on strengthening students' sense of belonging,



connection and success through their engagement with the Library.
The User Experience department leads client engagement, experience review and design, informal learning space activation, events, student onboarding, cultural and creative programming, and client insight activities.
Through these functions, the department contributes to a distinctive, inclusive and memorable Library experience.
Key responsibilities
Manage a diverse and complex functional unit, including responsibility for financial and human resources.
Leverage data to analyse and make recommendations that shape and support innovation and decision-making at a corporate and strategic level.
Identify and grow key relationships with internal and external strategic partners and University stakeholders, influencing and negotiating to ensure positive outcomes on behalf of the Library.
Develop and manage a high performing department that collaborate effectively with other departments and units to improve and deliver high quality client services.
Provide leadership for the Library's overall client experience, ensuring cohesive, inclusive and high-quality experiences across spaces, services, programs, communications and digital touchpoints.
Lead high-impact engagement programs, events, creative and cultural initiatives, client insight activities, and informal learning space activation that strengthen student belonging, participation and connection.
Lead Library experience improvement and service maturity across physical and digital environments through evidence-informed practice, experimentation, evaluation and consistent service quality standards.
You have (selection criteria)
Demonstrated ability to lead inclusive,



high-quality client experiences across physical, digital and service environments, including spaces, services, programs, communications and digital touchpoints.
Proven experience developing and delivering engagement programs, events, creative or cultural initiatives, or learning space activations that strengthen student belonging, participation and connection.
Demonstrated ability to improve services and experiences through evidence-informed practice, client insight activities, experimentation, evaluation and consistent service quality standards.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that enable significant engagement, collaboration and partnership building with all Library stakeholders in both face-to-face and online environments.
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $146,657 to $153,642 (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
