ContextThis is awell-established manufacturing site in Brisbane looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead its production operation through a period of growth and change.This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the General Manager, with accountability for maximising sales, minimising losses and expenses, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
You'll manage all aspects of the department's operations, providing robust leadership, technical guidance and professional support to the estimating and project function, along with operational leadership to the production and manufacturing team.The RoleManage department budget effectively, including identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives and resolving operational issuesEnsure administrative, operational and project documentation is completed accurately and in full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsContinuously monitor the accuracy of costing forecasts, pricing structures and design databases to support sound commercial and operational decision-makingMaintain oversight of departmental assets, plant and equipment, ensuring they're maintained to a high standard and remain safe and compliantActively support the Sales team in developing new business opportunities, engaging with builders, developers, architects and key industry stakeholders,



including proactive follow-up of quotationsProvide expert technical and commercial oversight of individual quotations and design solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, engineering standards and business objectivesLiaise professionally with clients, architects, engineers, builders and contractors across all stages of project delivery — from design and estimating through to productionOversee end-to-end project management from initial quotation through production to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budgetAbout YouYou're an experienced manufacturing leader with previous experience in a technical, made to order manufacturing environment.
You have run sizeable manufacturing teams - you must be comfortable running a site of 45 people.
You bring sound financial and commercial acumen, a track record of improving processes and driving cost efficiencies, and the communication skills to lead a team while liaising confidently with clients.You must be based in Australia currently and have full Australian working rights to be eligible for this role.What's on Offer$150,000 package inclusive of superannuationTool-of-trade vehicleShort-term incentive bonus (yearly)
