Heavy Vehicle Leading Hand - EV & High VoltageThis is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Leading Hand to join the Victorian truck team at Vertu Group.
You'll initially work across the diesel heavy vehicle fleet, leading by example in the workshop and supporting technicians with servicing, diagnostics, repairs and technical troubleshooting.
As Vertu expands into electric heavy vehicles, with first EV truck deployment expected from Q******, you'll play a key role in establishing Victorian EV truck technical capability, including high-voltage systems, diagnostics, commissioning, fault finding and field support.Key responsibilitiesLead the day-to-day technical work of the Victorian truck workshopWork hands-on across diesel heavy vehicles, including servicing, repairs, diagnostics and fault findingAct as the senior technical resource for truck techniciansSupport technicians with complex diagnostic and repair issuesAssist with breakdowns and field service when requiredMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop practicesHelp develop and mentor other techniciansWork closely with the Service Manager and wider Vertu teamSupport truck commissioning,
