Together, the businesses serve local and international customers across a diverse environment involving manufacturing operations, capital equipment, suppliers and multiple operating entities.About The OpportunityThe primary purpose of this position is to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across multiple Group companies, providing accurate financial reporting, strong financial control and transparent commercial information to senior management.Some of your responsibilities will include:Preparing monthly management accounts, P&L;, Balance Sheet and financial reportsManaging cash-flow forecasting, working capital and upcoming financial commitmentsPreparing budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and actual-versus-budget reportingManaging accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, payment runs and creditor issuesProcessing or overseeing payroll, timesheets, superannuation, PAYG, leave and reconciliationsCoordinating BAS, GST, payroll tax, ATO reporting and recurring statutory obligationsMaintaining general ledger integrity, bank reconciliations and intercompany transactionsSupporting month-end, year-end, accruals, prepayments and fixed-asset requirementsCoordinating insurance renewals, claims,



reimbursements and associated administrationSupporting employee onboarding, contracts and finance-related HR administrationMaintaining ERP, payroll, banking and financial reporting systems and spreadsheetsAbout YouThe successful candidate will have:Significant hands-on financial control or accounting experience within an Australian businessDemonstrated experience independently managing a broad finance functionStrong management accounting and financial reporting capabilitiesExtensive accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control experienceDemonstrated payroll and employee financial administration experienceStrong cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management capabilitiesSound knowledge of BAS, GST, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax requirementsExcellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with external stakeholdersExperience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, wholesale or industrial environments will be highly regarded, along with multi-entity experience, ERP systems, lender and covenant reporting, equipment finance, insurance administration and experience working directly with business owners.An accounting qualification, CPA or CA qualification would be advantageous; however, strong practical financial experience and demonstrated ownership of an SME finance function will also be highly valued.What's in it for You?
