Executive Assistant – International Business Development & Government RelationsExecutive Assistant - International Business Development and Government RelationsUSAPAC | Margate, Brisbane QLD | Hybrid / FlexiblePart-Time – ***** hours per week initially$40–$50 per hour + super + business development incentivesHelp Build a Growing U.S.–Australia BusinessUSAPAC is a growing international business development and government relations business connecting U.S. companies with opportunities in Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.We work with businesses seeking to enter, establish, expand or pursue opportunities in the Australian market, with particular interests across government, defence, infrastructure, industry and other strategic sectors.This isn't a traditional EA position.Approximately 70% of the role will focus on business development and 30% on executive support.
You'll play an important role in identifying potential U.S. clients, researching opportunities, initiating conversations and keeping our international business development pipeline moving.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Researching U.S. companies with potential to enter or expand into Australia and APACIdentifying CEOs, Presidents, Business Development executives and Government Relations decision-makersResearching companies, industries and decision-makers before outreachPreparing concise prospect and meeting briefs for the Managing DirectorDrafting personalised LinkedIn, email and other business approachesMaking professional introductory and follow-up calls where appropriateHelping arrange introductory meetings with U.S.
executivesManaging our prospect pipeline and CRMFollowing up prospects and ensuring opportunities don't fall through the cracksResearching relevant Australian government, defence, procurement and commercial opportunitiesAssisting with capability statements, presentations, proposals and pitch materialCoordinating meetings and business development activity during U.S. travelDiary, email, travel and meeting coordination for the Managing DirectorGeneral executive and administrative support as requiredYou won't initially be expected to independently close major consulting or representation agreements.Your job is to identify strong prospects, create opportunities, secure conversations and support the Managing Director through the process of converting those opportunities into USAPAC clients.Who We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who combines excellent organisation with genuine commercial instinct.You may currently be an Executive Assistant, Business Development Coordinator, Account Executive, Sales Coordinator, Partnerships Coordinator or similar professional looking for a flexible role with considerable scope to grow.Ideally, you'll bring:Strong understanding of U.S. business culture and the American marketStrong understanding of Australian Government in particular at the Federal levelConfidence communicating with senior executivesStrong research and analytical skillsExperience with LinkedIn,
prospect research and CRM systemsThe ability to turn research into actionable business opportunitiesExceptional organisation and follow-throughConfidence working independentlyA professional and polished communication styleA proactive, commercially minded approachAn interest in international business, government, defence, trade or market entryExperience in business development, professional services, defence industry, government, international trade or executive support would be advantageous.The OpportunityThis is an chance to join USAPAC at an early stage of its international growth.You'll work directly with the Managing Director and have significant visibility across the business rather than being confined to traditional administrative duties.For the right person, there is substantial scope for the position to grow in hours, responsibility, remuneration and international business development involvement as USAPAC's U.S. client base expands.What We Offer$40–$50 per hour + super***** hours per week initially Additional incentives for self-originated opportunities that become signed USAPAC clients Flexible working arrangements primarily between our Margate office, meetings as required and home.
