As the leading provider of integrated services in Australia and Current Zealand, we work closely with our customers to design, build and sustain assets, infrastructure and facilities that communities rely on every day.We're seeking a Herbicide Technician to join our team, delivering vegetation management and weed control programs across roadsides, reserves, agricultural land and conservation areas.This is a hands‐on outdoor role where you'll work both independently and within a supportive team, contributing to environmental sustainability, public safety and community wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely mix, prepare and apply herbicides using hand‐held, backpack and vehicle‐mounted spraying equipmentIdentify invasive weed species and assess treatment requirements across a variety of sitesMaintain accurate spray records, treatment data and equipment logsConduct routine inspections, maintenance and calibration of spraying equipmentEnsure all activities comply with relevant safety,



environmental and legislative requirementsCollaborate with supervisors, contractors, landholders and other stakeholders to deliver effective vegetation management outcomesAbout YouCurrent ChemCert or ACUP accreditation (or willingness to obtain)Minimum MR Driver Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)Experience in herbicide application, vegetation management, land management or a related fieldUnderstanding of safe chemical handling practices and environmental compliance requirementsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with minimal supervisionA proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPhysically fit, reliable and self‐motivatedWhy Join Downer?
