Our employees work principally from the officeClerk Grade 9/10 salary from $129,464 to $142,665 plus superannuation and leave loadingThis role offers flexible, people-first working conditions, including:35‐hour base working weekFlex time, allowing additional hours worked to be accrued and taken back as flex leaveGenerous leave arrangements, including carers', parental and adoption leaveFive weeks recreation leaveAbout the roleNSW Public Works is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and deliver essential infrastructure projects across the Riverina & Murray region, based in Wagga Wagga.
This position suits someone ready to make a meaningful contribution to regional communities and who is willing to relocate or who already lives locally.You'll manage a varied portfolio of civil and community infrastructure projects, from water and wastewater upgrades to public facilities and local transport assets.
As a senior member of the team, you'll support other Project Managers and help maintain a collaborative, high performing delivery culture.In this role, you'll lead projects end-to-end, planning, procurement and delivery, ensuring outcomes meet required standards for time, cost, quality, safety and environmental performance.
You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients and lead procurement activities, contract management and delivery risk management.What you'll bringWe're looking for someone with a proven ability to deliver projects where clear communication, sound judgement and strong stakeholder engagement are essential.You will bring:Background in engineering,
construction, or major infrastructure project managementExperience managing multiple projects with defined time, cost and quality outcomesKnowledge of contract administration, procurement processes and delivery risk managementStrong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse client groups and community stakeholdersCommitment to qualified integrity, teamwork and a strong work ethicRelevant trade, post trade or tertiary qualifications (engineering preferred; construction/project management considered)Demonstrated experience in civil, water, wastewater or similar infrastructureValid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the region (including occasional overnight stays)This role will suit someone who thrives on variety, autonomy and a strong client service focus.About usNSW Public Works supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure that strengthens communities across NSW.
