Full Job DescriptionLeading Fed Government Department is looking for 2 x Lead Data Engineers - ***** month Contract - Microsoft Azure focused roleAustralian Citizens onlyWe're working with a leading Australian organisation looking for Lead Data Engineers to join a growing data engineering function and help shape a modern cloud data platform.This is a hands-on lead role, working across MS Azure to design and deliver scalable data solutions supporting enterprise analytics, reporting and AI initiatives.The RoleYou'll work closely with Data Architects, Engineers and business stakeholders to:Lead the design and development of Microsoft Azure data solutionsAWS and Snowflake are also desirableBuild scalable, reliable data pipelines and data productsDesign data models and cloud data architecture for enterprise environmentsDrive engineering standards around data quality, performance,



CI/CD and automationMentor and support other Data EngineersTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsContribute to the ongoing modernisation of the organisation's data platformAbout YouYou'll ideally have:Solid commercial experience across Microsoft AzureAdvanced SQL and strong data engineering fundamentalsExperience designing and building enterprise-scale data pipelinesStrong understanding of cloud data architecture and data modellingExperience with Python, dbt, Airflow and AWS native data servicesSnowflake is also desirableExperience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineersStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsCandidates can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and must be Australian Citizens.
