Mickleham Dental is seeking a motivated and professional Dental Receptionist to become part of our growing team.
This role is primarily focused on front office and patient coordination, with occasional sterilisation and chairside dental assisting duties to support the clinical team when required.About UsMickleham Dental is a growing, patient-centred practice located in Tullamarine.
We provide a full range of dental services, including implants, same‐day CEREC crowns, cosmetic dentistry, and preventative care, using modern technology and Exact dental software.We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment for our patients while maintaining a supportive and positive workplace culture for our team.Your Role Will IncludeGreeting patients with warmth, professionalism, and exceptional customer serviceManaging appointment bookings, recalls, and treatment schedulingAnswering incoming phone calls and responding to patient enquiriesConfirming appointments and managing daily schedulesProcessing payments via HICAPS, EFTPOS, and other payment platformsManaging patient records and maintaining accurate data entryAssisting patients with treatment plans, financial arrangements, and general practice informationLiaising with dentists, specialists, laboratories, and other healthcare providersSupporting the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the practiceSterilisation & Clinical Support (When Required)Cleaning, disinfecting,



and sterilising instruments in accordance with current infection control standardsMaintaining sterilisation records and assisting with compliance requirementsPreparing and restocking treatment roomsAssisting with instrument processing and stock managementProviding chairside assistance during dental procedures when requiredSupporting clinicians with room set‐up and patient preparationAssisting with room turnaround between patients while maintaining high clinical standardsAdministrative DutiesManaging emails and correspondenceProcessing referrals and patient paperworkHandling Medicare, health fund, and DVA claimsMaintaining reception and waiting areas to a high standardAssisting with stock ordering and general administration when requiredWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 1–2 years of dental reception experience preferredExperience using Exact dental software highly regardedCertificate III in Dental Assisting preferredPrevious sterilisation or chairside dental assisting experience highly regardedExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organisational and multitasking abilitiesProfessional presentation and phone mannerHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA positive attitude and genuine passion for patient careWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rate with room to negotiate based on experienceSupportive and friendly team environmentOngoing training and career development opportunitiesExposure to advanced dental procedures and technologyFlexible roster arrangementsOpportunity for long‐term growth within the practiceWhy Join Us?
