Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a significant program of technology and industry change within the utilities sector.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with strong likelihood of extension.
Working across business and technology teams, you'll analyse the impact of market and system changes across processes, data and applications, translating complex technical information into transparent business and functional requirements.
This role will suit a hands-on BA who understands utilities environments and is comfortable working across systems, data and integrations.Key ResponsibilitiesGather and document technical, functional and business requirementsAnalyse impacts across utility systems including CIS, MDM, billing and market gatewaysWork with business SMEs, developers, testers and technical teams to understand system and process changesInvestigate data and issues across Oracle databases, application logs and enterprise systemsAnalyse system interfaces,
integrations and data flowsTranslate complex technical information into clear business requirements and outcomesSupport testing, defect analysis and delivery activities across the SDLCKey Requirements5+ years' experience as a Technical or IT Business AnalystExperience within electricity, utilities or energy highly regardedUnderstanding of the Australian electricity market and AEMO-related processesExperience with CIS, MDM, billing or utility market systemsHands-on experience with Oracle SQL and data analysisStrong understanding of integrations, interfaces and data flowsStrong requirements gathering, impact analysis and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to communicate effectively across both technical and business teamsHighly RegardedKnowledge of NEM, MSATS, CATS, or AEMO regulationsUnderstanding of metering, meter data, tariffs and billing processesExperience with SAP IS-UExposure to webMethods, Oracle SOA or Boomi
