We are looking for a number of Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team based at in Somerton, Victoria.
This is a full-time role that will be working as part of our Fabrication team reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor.ResponsibilitiesHeavy / Structural and pressure class fabrication of Steel Pipe SystemsWorking on Lobster Backs, Tees ReducersFabrication / Welding of Steel Pipe PiecesCutting marked-out metal sections and shapesShaping and bending metal sections and pipesMIG and Flux core weldingWelding and repairing pipeWelding steel pipeline systems for the transportation of water and wastewaterMetal fabricationGrindingAligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrumentsCandidate QualificationsTrade qualified Metal FabricatorAbility to read and interpret technical drawings/plansProven experience flux core weldingWell versed with GMAW and FCAW welding processesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and remain motivatedEnergic and 'can-do' approachFull working rightsBe willing to undergo pre-employment medicalBe willing to undertake a weld qualification testing and layout/mark-up testing as applicablePay and BenefitsThe successful candidate will initially commence at an hourly base rate of $***** per hour.
