Your new company Hays is partnering with a large State Government organisation seeking multiple Case Officers to join a busy and supportive team.
These opportunities have arisen due to increased demand and offer the chance to contribute to meaningful community-focused outcomes while building valuable government experience.Your current roleWe are seeking multiple Case Officers for an immediate start.
Working within a high-volume environment, you will manage customer enquiries and provide case management support to individuals with complex circumstances.
This role is heavily phone-based and requires ongoing contact with vulnerable customers and their support networks.
A significant portion of your day will involve inbound and outbound calls, assisting customers, gathering information, responding to enquiries and coordinating support services.
The ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism and resilience is essential.We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have worked within financial services environments and can apply their customer service, stakeholder management and administrative skills to support customers navigating complex personal and financial circumstances.Key responsibilities includeManaging a caseload and providing ongoing support to customersConducting high-volume inbound and outbound customer callsSupporting vulnerable customers through complex and sensitive situationsLiaising with family members, carers,



support services and external stakeholdersCoordinating case-related activities and following up outstanding actionsPreparing correspondence, maintaining records and updating databasesAssessing information and ensuring accurate documentation of case outcomesDelivering high-quality customer service while managing competing prioritiesWhat you'll need to succeedPrevious experience in customer service, contact centre, case management or community-focused rolesStrong telephone communication skills and confidence in managing sensitive conversationsExperience supporting customers experiencing complex or challenging circumstancesExceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skillsStrong administration and record-keeping abilitiesThe ability to remain resilient, empathetic and professional when dealing with vulnerable customersStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workloadCandidates with experience in financial services, banking, insurance, superannuation, wealth management, lending or trustee services will be highly regardedExperience managing customer accounts, financial transactions, client portfolios or complex customer cases will be viewed favourablyA current National Police Check, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencementWhat you'll get in returnImmediate commencementInitial 6-week temporary assignment with potential for extensionFull-time hours, Monday to FridayHourly rate of $47 per hour plus superMultiple opportunities availableValuable State Government experienceSupportive team environmentOpportunity to make a genuine difference within the community
