An prospect has arisen for an Accountant to join the Business Services division of a highly regarded accounting firm.
Recognised for its expertise across Accounting and Tax, the firm has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months and continues to invest in its people, technology and client offering.Operating under a collaborative resource pooling model, you'll gain exposure to multiple Partners, diverse industries and a broad range of technical work rather than being confined to a single portfolio.
This structure provides exceptional mentoring, accelerated learning and exposure to both compliance and advisory services.Working with SMEs and privately owned businesses with turnovers up to $20 million, you'll service clients across industries including construction, agriculture, manufacturing, medical, media and retail.ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individualsPrepare BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and other statutory compliance obligationsCalculate Capital Gains Tax, depreciation schedules and gains or losses on asset disposalsAssist with tax matters including FBT, CGT and Division 7ASupport management accounting functions including budgeting,
forecasting and variance analysisLiaise with the ATO, ASIC, financial institutions and legal representatives on behalf of clientsAssist with ASIC corporate compliance and company secretarial mattersContribute to tax planning, business advisory and other value-added client projectsApplicantsApproximately 2+ years experience within an Australian public practice accounting firmCurrently studying CA/CPA or qualifiedStrong communication and client relationship skillsCommercial mindset with sound analytical and problem-solving abilitiesMotivated, proactive and eager to continue developing your technical skillsFlexible working arrangements with work-from-home optionsComprehensive CA/CPA support including course fee reimbursement, study leave and exam leaveOngoing technical training through internal programs and external providersRegular mentoring, career planning and genuine progression opportunitiesFriendly, social and collaborative team cultureExposure to larger, more complex clients and a diverse mix of compliance and advisory workOpportunity to work alongside experienced Partners and develop into a well-rounded Accountant
