This role incorporates a combination of restaurant lunch service and some weddings/functions.The Coriole Restaurant is an integral part of the Coriole Vineyards business, and as the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be an important part of its operations.
The role will assist the Coriole Restaurant Operations Manager in ensuring we deliver the most outstanding customer service, drive sales, meet budgets and ultimately ensure the ongoing success of the restaurant.Key Responsibilities:Reporting to our Restaurant Manager and as a key member of the Front of House team, this role requires you to:Deliver superior service and ensure customer satisfactionAssist in creating memorable experiences for all visitors to the estateRespond to customer enquiries, book functions and manage event detailsBe on-site for weddings and major eventsOversee and manage daily reservation activities including individual, group,



and corporate bookingsWork closely with the Restaurant Manager to establish required staffing resourcesAssist the Restaurant Manager to coordinate daily front of house and back of house restaurant operationsAssist the Restaurant Manager in stock management and monthly stocktakingSupervise the restaurant overall presentationSupervise the hospitality team to deliver the best customer service practicesEnsure seamless communication between Front of House and Back of House teamsAssume responsibility for hospitality in the absence of the Restaurant ManagerWork with and assist the Coriole Wedding Coordinator as requiredAvailability Thursday - MondayA proven track record in a fast-paced restaurantCreative problem-solving skillsDesired criteria:Responsible Person badgeWine knowledge / qualificationsThe soils are predominantly terra rosa soils (over 80%).
These soils are shallow with red-brown earth over hard capped limestone.
They tend to produce deeply coloured red wines with positive structure and backbone that show great capacity for ageing.The Estate vineyards are predominantly Shiraz, planted as early as ****.
The variety balance grown at Coriole is 65% Shiraz, 10% Sangiovese, 5% Chenin and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Other varieties are Fiano, Grenache, Barbera, Montepulciano, Merlot and Semillon.
There are in total 25 different vineyards from 90 years old to 3 years old.Coriole manages most vineyards where fruit is sourced.
