About the Role

Since opening in 1929 our hospital continues to grow to meet the changing needs of our community and incorporate new models of care.
The Central Bookings Officer is required to carry out a variety of administrative duties in accordance with the waiting list/elective surgery management process. The position requires a high level of negotiation skills to liaise with clinical, non-clinical support staff & the general public to ensure patients are admitted within their clinical recommended timeframes.

Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated excellent verbal & written communication skills, including telephone communication skills of a high standard together with attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated an understanding and experience in providing a high standard of customer service.
- Ability to work cohesively in a team and follow directions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Privacy and Confidentiality principles.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and use patient administration software or similar.
- Ability to gain knowledge of MOH Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management Policy and apply.
