About the role
As a New Graduate Podiatrist, you will deliver entry-level podiatric clinical care to patients with foot disease and high-risk foot conditions as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Working across The Prince Charles Hospital and Community and Oral Health services, you will provide evidence-based assessment, treatment and management while developing your clinical skills under the guidance of experienced podiatrists.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in high-risk foot management, collaborate with a broad range of healthcare professionals and contribute to high-quality patient care. You will progressively develop clinical decision-making skills, manage a growing caseload, participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the education of podiatry students during clinical placements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver podiatric clinical services for patients with foot disease and high-risk foot conditions in accordance with professional standards, clinical protocols and ethical practice.
- Manage an allocated caseload using effective clinical reasoning, time management and prioritisation skills while progressively developing independent clinical judgement.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, consumers, carers and external healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Actively engage in clinical supervision, professional development and continuous learning to build clinical knowledge and expertise.
- Contribute to quality improvement, research, service evaluation and data collection activities that enhance podiatry services and patient care outcomes.
