Job Description:

Accountant | Mining | 3 Month Temporary Contract | Perth CBD

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join a well-established organisation within the mining sector on an initial three-month temporary assignment.

Based in the Perth CBD, this role will suit a hands-on Accountant who can step into a busy finance function and contribute immediately. Previous mining industry experience and PRONTO experience are essential, along with the ability to commence at short notice.

You will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, including:

- End-to-end accounts payable
- General ledger maintenance
- Monthly management reporting
- Month end close
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Fringe Benefits Tax
- Fixed asset depreciation
- Cash flow support
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Previous accounting experience within the mining or resources sector
- Strong working knowledge of PRONTO
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or be partially qualified
- Strong month end, reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Exposure to BAS, FBT and fixed asset accounting
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities




- Strong communication skills and confidence working with key stakeholders and auditors
- Immediate or very short notice availability
