Implementation Manager - MRP / Manufacturing Software

$160K-$170K Base + Super + 15-20% Bonus | Sydney

Talon Recruitment Solutions is representing a growing software business delivering MRP and Manufacturing Operations solutions to large manufacturing businesses across Australia.

We are seeking an Implementation Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of customer implementations from initial requirements through to production deployment and operational handover.

This is primarily an implementation and project delivery role, working closely with large manufacturing customers and internal Product Development, Customer Success and Technical Support teams. The role will also work with the Sales team during the presales and scoping stage of recent opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the complete implementation lifecycle from requirements analysis through to go-live and handover
- Lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, workflow analysis and solution design
- Develop project plans, schedules, implementation plans and governance documentation
- Manage project scope, budgets, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
- Configure and deploy MRP and associated software solutions
- Coordinate data migration, systems integration, testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Deliver implementation workshops and administrator/end-user training
- Assess customer readiness and manage production deployment and go-live activities
- Manage go-live issues and stabilisation before transitioning customers to Customer Success and Technical Support
- Maintain implementation standards, methodologies, documentation and delivery processes
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify continuous improvement opportunities




- Work with Product Development on implementation readiness and provide feedback from customer implementations

Presales & Scoping

Approximately 15% of the role will involve supporting the Sales team with new opportunities.

This will include:

- Participating in technical discovery and customer discussions
- Understanding customer requirements and implementation complexity
- Contributing to solution architecture and implementation approach
- Preparing implementation estimates, Statements of Work, assumptions and exclusions
- Ensuring proposed implementations are appropriately scoped and deliverable

About You

Ideally, you will have significant experience implementing MRP or ERP software, preferably within manufacturing or engineering environments.

You will have experience across:

- MRP / ERP implementation
- Manufacturing operations and business processes
- Project management and implementation governance
- Requirements gathering and business process analysis
- Software configuration and deployment
- Data migration and systems integration
- Customer workshops, training and stakeholder management
- Technical scoping and solution consulting

You will need to work independently, manage multiple implementation activities and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels-from operational manufacturing teams through to senior executives.
