Working alongside experienced surgeons, allied health colleagues and researchers, you will contribute to patient care while developing your capability in teaching, supervision and clinical research. Our academically integrated model means the questions raised at the bedside can be investigated in our research programs, and the answers returned to practice.

If you are motivated by multidisciplinary, patient-centred care and want your training to include meaningful exposure to education and research, this role offers a well-rounded foundation for a surgical career.

About the Role

The ENT Registrar plays an essential part in the safe, coordinated delivery of otolaryngology services at Macquarie University Hospital. Reporting into the ENT clinical team, you will support inpatient care, operating theatre and outpatient activity, while contributing to the teaching and research activity that defines Macquarie University Health's tripartite mission of clinical care, learning and discovery.

- Provide high-quality clinical care to ENT patients across inpatient, perioperative and outpatient settings

- Participate in a structured learning program within otolaryngology, gaining exposure to a wide range of ENT cases

- Supervise, teach and mentor medical students, junior registrars and other Doctors in Training

- Collaborate with teams across Macquarie University Health to participate in research projects

- Contribute to educational and research activities, including the opportunity for a conjoint academic appointment

- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to uphold safety, quality and evidence-based practice
