A highly regarded interior design studio based in Sydney's inner-eastern suburbs, just minutes from the CBD, is seeking a Studio & Design Coordinator to join their team.
This is a genuinely varied role sitting at the centre of how the studio runs day to day. Tasks will include vendor and procurement coordination, design support across live residential projects, and studio/office management.
Sales administration will also be required for the studio's own furniture and lighting collection, produced in workrooms across Australia and the US and represented in showrooms internationally.
The Role
You'll be the day-to-day point of contact for vendors, suppliers and manufacturers - coordinating pricing, quotations, lead times, freight and sample requests, and supporting the Design Team with furniture, fabric and finish sourcing.
You'll manage furniture schedules, finishes schedules and decorative budgets, and keep procurement moving through their purchasing software (Studio Designer).
On the design side, you'll assist with client presentations, mood boards and material selections, and support styling and preparation for photography.
You'll also help keep the studio itself running beautifully - from client hospitality through to sample library organisation.
What You'll Need
- Strong Excel skills and genuine confidence working with numbers, budgets and spreadsheets
- Comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Studio Designer or a similar decorative purchasing platform highly regarded (or a fast learner in this space)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, hands-on approach and genuine pride in keeping things running smoothly
Highly Regarded
- Design sourcing experience (furniture, fabrics, finishes, artwork)
- Prior studio or design experience, ideally within residential interiors
The studio is genuinely open on the exact mix here - an all-rounder is the dream, but someone who can tackle the key administrative, procurement and coordination aspects of the role is the priority.
What's On Offer
- Salary circa $105,000 plus Superannuation (negotiable)
- In-person role in a beautiful inner-city studio, 9am–5pm
- Exciting roster of high-end local and international residential projects
- Involvement in the studio's own furniture and lighting collection
This is permanent position, based full time in their studio role and it's available now.
