- $75,000–$115,000 + super
- Full-time over 4 days available – enjoy a regular three-day weekend
- Join an established team of 8 paediatric OTs with clinic, community, surf, equine and group programs
If you’re looking for a paediatric OT role that feels a little different from the standard clinic position, this is one worth considering.
Our client is an established paediatric Occupational Therapy provider in the Sutherland Shire, with a team of eight OTs supporting children from preschool age through to approximately 12 years.
The service is predominantly clinic-based, but there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in school and daycare visits, community therapy and some genuinely different programs including equine therapy, surfing, martial arts and gymnastics.
You don’t have to participate in every program. The team is happy to shape the role around what you actually enjoy.
They’re open to OTs at any level of experience, from newer clinicians wanting to develop solid paediatric skills through to experienced practitioners looking for more autonomy.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Full-Time Over Four Days: If it suits you, work your full-time hours across Tuesday to Friday, generally between 8:00am–6:00pm, giving you a consistent three-day weekend.
- Flexible Caseload: The service is approximately 70% clinic and 30% community, but this can be tailored depending on whether you prefer more clinic-based or community work.
- Varied Paediatric Caseload: Work with children from preschool age through to approximately 12 years across a broad range of developmental and functional presentations.
- Not Your Typical Clinic: Alongside traditional OT intervention, the team runs surf programs, equine therapy, martial arts,
gymnastics and other term-time and holiday activities.
- Purpose-Built Environment: Work from a paediatric clinic with a dedicated gym including swings, padding and equipment designed specifically for children.
- Protected Admin Time: A full clinic day may include up to seven clients, with structured blocks for administration and notes rather than expecting documentation to be squeezed between every appointment.
- Community Variety: Attend local schools and daycare centres where appropriate, with the ability to shape how much community work forms part of your week.
- Strong OT Team: Join eight paediatric Occupational Therapists, including experienced clinicians and senior support, so you’re surrounded by people working in the same discipline.
- Supportive Younger Team: The team includes a mix of developing and experienced clinicians who are highly engaged, collaborative and genuinely enjoy working together.
- Hands-On Programs: If you have an interest outside traditional therapy, they’re open to building programs around the strengths and interests of their clinicians.
A Team That Does Things Differently This is a team that likes therapy to be engaging.
Depending on your interests, your week could include clinic sessions, school visits, daycare visits, equine therapy during the school term or involvement in activity-based programs.
There is also a team member with Pilates experience and support workers who are continually upskilled to better support the clinical team.
You don’t need to be interested in surfing, horses or group programs to join. If clinic-based paediatrics is where you’re happiest, they can build the position more heavily around that too.
