About the role

Shangri La Gardens is seeking a Receptionist to manage front desk operations at our 40-room motel in Wynnum West. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

- Make computer reservations and check guests in and out

- Answer phone calls, emails and reply to guest messages via booking partners

- Perform general reception duties

- Coordinate with Housekeepers & Maintenance to track readiness of rooms for check-in

- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest

- Reply to company reviews

- Process all payments for bookings

- Identify any special requests from guests for bookings

- Perform other reasonable duties as required

About you

- Minimum of 12 months' experience in a receptionist or similar role, preferably within the Motel industry

- Proven experience in a face-to-face customer service position

- Positive attitude and excellent grooming standards

- Good communication skills





- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

- Skilled phone manner and personal presentation

- Able to work on your own and as part of a team

- Computer skills required

- Knowledge of Room Master Anywhere is preferred but not essential

- To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate at least 12 months' experience in a receptionist or similar role, preferably within the Motel industry, and proven experience in a face-to-face customer service position.
