Burke Shire Council is seeking applications for the position of General Labourer / Operator.

About the role:
The primary purpose of this position is to support Councils Engineering Department, with a focus on assisting the Roads Construction and/or Maintenance team.
You will work across a range of projects and may be required to assist with broader works operations, including roads, infrastructure, and depot activities, depending on operational requirements.
Duties may include:
Assist with road construction and maintenance works
General labouring duties across Council works
Operation of plant and equipment (where licenced)




Support depot and works operations as required
Maintain a safe and compliant work setting
What We're Looking For:
Experience in civil road works and/or general labouring
Road construction or RMPC experience (desirable)
HR, HC, MC or heavy machinery tickets (desirable)
Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
