About the Business

Our client is a leading Australian sustainability organisation, operating across Australia and international markets. As a business experiencing continued growth and increasing operational complexity, they're looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant to help maintain the integrity and accuracy of their financial reporting as the group continues to scale.

About the Role

Reporting into the finance leadership team, this role is responsible for owning the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, delivering timely and compliant month-end and year-end reporting, and supporting statutory and compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Complete month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Prepare meaningful financial analysis and commentary
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls, processes and procedures across the business
- Review and improve accounting systems and processes, including the fixed asset register
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit requirements with internal stakeholders

About You

- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong technical accounting background
- Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience
- A process-improvement mindset,



with a track record of identifying and implementing efficiencies
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, comfortable liaising across international teams
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership over financial accuracy
