Chubb New Zealand is seeking an Accident & Health Claims Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality claims services across our corporate and leisure A&H; portfolios. This is a standout opportunity for someone who wants more than day-to-day claims management — a role where you’ll have the scope to influence, improve, and innovate how claims are handled.

You’ll bring together technical expertise and operational oversight, and people leadership to manage complex claims, develop team capability, and drive continuous improvement across the claims function.

Your role will have an international element as you will work closely with the offshore technical team.



You’ll also play a key role in supporting new A&H; products and helping evolve claims processes for better customer and business outcomes.

What You’ll Own

- Leading the assessment and management of large and complex A&H; claims within delegated authority
- Providing technical guidance and decision support on escalated, non-routine, and sensitive claims matters
- Coaching and developing team members to build capability and sustained high performance
- Monitoring claims performance through data, reporting, and operational insights
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implement more efficient claims management processes
- Overseeing claims operations for new A&H; products, including vendor liaison and process improvement

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

- Experience in end-to-end claim management of accident, health, and complex travel claims
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to innovate and improve claims processes for greater efficiency and better outcomes
- Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to insurance claims
