Role Description The Accountant at HUB Innovación Educativa con IA | Uniandes will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing regular financial reports. This part time, remote role involves maintaining accurate ledgers, monitoring budgets for projects, and supporting financial planning for educational and AI innovation initiatives. The Accountant will prepare invoices, track receivables and payables, assist with payroll data, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and institutional policies.

The role also includes collaborating with project leaders to provide financial insights, supporting audits, and recommending improvements to financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in general accounting, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting and financial analysis to support project planning, cost tracking,



and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools to manage and analyze data.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and basic tax and compliance requirements.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a part-time remote setting.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and academic teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Experience working with educational institutions, research projects, or innovation-focused organizations is an advantage.
