Hancock Energy has a full time opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.
This chance is within the Finance team reports into the Finance Lead.
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team, based in our West Perth office. This is an Office based role.
This position is responsible for the full suite of accounts payable functions, from the matching and processing of invoices to creditor payment runs and expense claim/credit card expense management.
Key Duties:
- End-to-end accounts payable processing including managing accounts payable inbox and ensuring timely payment to vendors
- Preparation and processing of vendor payment runs through to management of bank payments
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts with daily interface with suppliers
- Preparation of debtor invoices and payment follow up where required
- Expense claim and credit card expense processing in compliance with policy
- Bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
- Assisting the Finance team as required and assist with general finance duties as required, including cash flow forecast
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Support financial governance and compliance
To be successful in this role the following is essential:
- Experience in similar role within mid-size entities
- Previous ERP experience
- Computer literacy and strong knowledge of MS Word & Excel
- Strong communication skills along with the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work to strict timeframes and deadlines
