About the role An organised and detail-focused Accounts & Administration Coordinator role on a fixed-term maternity leave contract. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day accounting, payroll and administrative tasks in a busy small-business environment. The successful candidate will provide reliable support across finance and office administration, working closely with internal team members to ensure accurate records, timely processing and smooth business operations.
The role will also include duties relating to the management of the business contract with Transport for NSW, including reporting, costings, KPI management and ongoing monitoring of contract requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Complete account reconciliations and maintain general ledger records
- Prepare and lodge BAS, including GST-related reporting
- Provide general office administration support across the business
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and filing systems
- Prepare and process invoices, quotes and related business documents
- Respond professionally to internal and external inquiries
- Assist with the administration and ongoing management of the business contract with Transport for NSW
- Monitor contract performance requirements, including KPI's, deadlines and reporting obligations
About you
- Three years' experience in accounting and office administration
- Experience with MYOB AccountRight is favourable but other accounting software experience would be considered
- Sound experience with payroll, reconciliations, BAS preparation and GST
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial and administrative work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Knowledge or experience in the transport industry and with transport contracts is desirable but not essential
