Primary objective
Provide high-level administrative support to the Primary Health Care education team by coordinating induction and training activities (including advertising, bookings, registrations, attendance and evaluations), preparing teaching spaces and access requirements, processing purchase orders and invoices, monitoring relevant clearances, supporting training compliance projectsacross Primary Health Care, and contributing to service quality standards and work health and safety requirements.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Coordinate induction training programs including advertising, course bookings, registration of participants, compiling
attendance records and evaluation surveys.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching spaces and training access requirements.
- Process purchase orders and invoices within the Electronic Invoice Management and Health Procurement Systems in a timely manner.
- Monitor criminal history, working with children and clearance exemptions for all staff.
- Assist with the initial project work to establish and manage essential training compliance for Primary Health Care.
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in a range of administrative tasks with a focus on process improvement.
2. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate staff movements, including participation in quality improvement
programs.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas, reports, and recommendations as required.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle situations effectively.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, adapt to recent situations, embrace change and work effectively towards shared goals.
- Hold a NT drivers licence or ability to obtain.
Desirable
1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of electronic information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
including Excel.
- Previous experience administrating orientation and/or induction programs.
