About the Role type + pixel is looking for an AI Art Director / Creative to help shape the future of our AI-driven production work. This is a role for someone with real creative or production chops who has gone deep on generative AI — not just experimenting with it, but directing it with intent. Production backgrounds are just as welcome as creative ones. What matters most is a genuine grasp of how generative tools actually work, and the taste to know when an output is good enough.

You'll work closely with Art Directors, Copywriters, Studio, Production, and Account teams, generating and refining AI assets for campaigns, pitches, and client presentations. Above all, the role needs a strong eye for design and a disciplined approach to model execution. You don't rely on lucky prompts. You understand how AI models interpret inputs, how to control them through refined iteration, and how to consistently pull commercial-grade output from generative tools.

What You'll Do

- Generate on-brand static visuals, storyboards, and presentation assets for pitches and campaigns, working with Art Directors, Copywriters, and Creative Directors
- Apply disciplined generation techniques — iterative prompting, image-to-image, parameter tuning, multi-step generation — to reliably hit commercial-grade results
- Maintain visual and character consistency (lighting, style, colour, characters, objects) across multi-asset campaigns and video sequences
- Partner with studio designers, video editors, and directors to concept,



generate, and refine AI image and video assets through to final production
- Set up and refine production pipelines for AI-generated image and video content, using tools like Weavy and other leading gen AI platforms
- Stay ahead of the curve on emerging generative AI tools, models, and techniques, and bring the best of them into our process
- Prototype new creative approaches that push the boundaries of what's possible with gen AI, from static imagery to motion and interactive digital experiences

What You Bring

- 5+ years of experience in a creative, design, or production role
- Genuine passion for AI tools and platforms — you're already experimenting, building, and following the space closely
- A strong eye for photography, composition, lighting, and colour. You know how to make AI generations look premium and authentic, without the obvious tells of an AI artifact
- Experience setting up or working within production pipelines for video and image generation; experience with Weavy, Higgsfield or Comfy UI is a strong plus
- Already working in, or actively exploring, tools across each of these categories:
- Image models: Google (Nano Banana/Imagen), OpenAI (GPT Image), Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney
- Video models: Runway, Google Veo, Seedance,



Kling, OpenAI Sora
- Prompting/build tools: Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT
- Ability to read a brand brief or style guide and generate assets that genuinely fit the brand's identity
- Proven ability to hold visual continuity — the same character, object, or style consistent across multiple frames or generations
- Basic post-production skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) to clean up, crop, composite, or colour-correct AI output where needed
- A clean, ethical approach to AI generation that respects copyright and brand safety
- A conceptual, idea-first mindset paired with the technical fluency to execute
- Comfort working in ambiguity — this space moves quick, and the tools and best practices are still being written

Portfolio Requirement To be considered, please submit a portfolio showing:

- AI image and video generation — high-quality examples of both static images and AI video clips
- Visual and character continuity — examples showing character, product, or style consistency held across multiple images or video frames
- Execution and process — examples showing how you guided, iterated, or engineered a raw generation into a refined, commercial-ready output
