About the Role

Join our welcoming Community Specialist Clinics team, at the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, as an Allied Health Assistant Grade 2 or Grade 3 in an ongoing position. We welcome applications from candidates seeking full-time or part-time opportunities.

Working alongside Allied Health Professionals and within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll play an important role in helping people with chronic, complex and specialist health needs access high-quality care closer to home.

No two days will look quite the same. You'll support a diverse range of specialist clinics and work with patients through individual and group-based programs, while helping our teams deliver coordinated, person-centred care.

In this role, you will:

- Provide delegated clinical support, including group programs and 1:1 therapy programs
- Support Allied Health Professionals with direct and indirect patient care
- Assist with clinic preparation, coordination, documentation and follow-up
- Work collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to service improvement and new ways of delivering care
- For Grade 3: provide leadership within the AHA team and contribute to the development and promotion of the AHA workforce

About the Program Community Specialist Clinics provide multidisciplinary, community-based care for people with chronic, complex and specialist health needs across south-east Melbourne.

Our services include Movement Disorders, Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS), Continence, Pain, Falls and Balance, Young Adults Transition Service (YATS) and Acute Rehabilitation, with services delivered across Kingston, Casey, Dandenong and Pakenham.

Our Allied Health Assistants are valued members of these teams, working alongside allied health, nursing, medical and other specialist staff to help patients receive the right care,



at the right time and closer to home.

About You

You are a motivated and patient-centred Allied Health Assistant who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to continue building your skills within a diverse specialist clinical environment. You will bring:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- A proactive, flexible and patient-centred approach
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Confidence supporting group programs and delegated 1:1 therapy
- An interest in learning, service improvement and developing your AHA practice
- Eligibility for AHANA membership as a Practicing Member (Certified)
- A current Australian Driver Licence

Applying at Grade 3? You will also bring a minimum of three years' full-time equivalent experience as a Grade 2 AHA (or equivalent), together with the confidence to provide leadership, support the development of others and contribute to the broader AHA profession. Why Join Us?
