**About the role

This is more than a management position. It's an chance to help shape the future of multidisciplinary child development services across one of Australia's most unique and rewarding healthcare environments.

This role provides significant leadership responsibility across operational management, service improvement, workforce capability and clinical governance while working closely with the Director of Allied Health, Executive Director Allied Health and senior leaders across the organisation.

In this role you will:

Lead a passionate multidisciplinary team delivering services for children and families across North West Queensland.

Support recruitment, workforce development and professional growth.

Drive quality improvement, clinical governance and innovative models of care.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, education providers and community partners.

Working with us

Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.

Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Audiology, Clinical Physiology, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work, or Speech Pathology, and relevant registration with AHPRA or self-governing equivalent.

C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.

Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.

This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.

A period of probation may apply.
