About the role

We are seeking a dedicated AN-ACC Nurse to join the nursing team at The Eyre Peninsula Old Folks Home Inc in Port Lincoln, SA. This is a part-time position offering flexible working arrangements to support the delivery of compassionate aged care nursing services to our residents.

As an AN-ACC Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our elderly residents, ensuring their health, wellbeing and dignity are maintained at all times. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering excellence in aged care services within our community.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure residents maintain optimal funding according to their care needs, by assessing against the ANACC funding tool and evidence-based assessment tools.
- Coordinating ANACC assessment days with external assessors
- Making recommendations to the broader clinical team on enhancements to care and documentation to receive optimal funding
- monitor current ANACC classifications, and report directly with the Director of care on required improvements or upgrades recommended
- Maintain accurate and detailed care records and documentation in accordance with aged care standards and regulations
- Support residents' emotional and social wellbeing through compassionate interaction and communication
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Assist with other nursing duties on a rotational roster as per the needs of the organization
- Respond promptly to residents' requests and concerns with professionalism and empathy




- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary aged care team to ensure holistic and person-centred care

What we're looking for

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
- Experience in aged care is highly valued; leadership experience may be required for clinical coordinator roles.
- Strong skills in care planning, documentation, and compliance with AN-ACC and quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in aged care environments.
- Demonstrated experience working in aged care or similar healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of aged care principles, practices and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families and team members
- Compassion, patience and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to vulnerable older people
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Sound organisational skills and attention to detail
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid National Criminal History Check
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as required by the service
