Your new role
- Process Heavy Vehicle permits applications and ensures accuracy and quality document management
- Provide enquiry response and advice to Regions and other external organisations, including Local Government, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and Queensland Police Service (QPS) relating to class permits.
- Use information systems to input, update and query information and extract and synthesise data appropriate to class permits processing.
- Respond to queries, compliments, complaints and appeals.
- Liaise with other departments, interstate and Commonwealth agencies, transport and industry peak bodies and QPS as directed.
- Write and/or review departmental and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards.
- Manage work delivery to ensure agreed business outcomes, performance indicators and deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure a protected and healthy workplace,
including compliance with workplace health and safety and employee rehabilitation legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy and procedures.
- Undertake the role in accordance with the requirements of s26(1) of the Public Service Act 2008 and at all times ensure that the principles as found in the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service are upheld in the carrying out of all duties.
