About the role

Tristar Electrical is seeking four enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Apprentice Industrial Electricians, commencing in January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the electrical trade with a reputable company based in Cheltenham, SA.

As a full-time apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in industrial electrical work whilst completing your formal qualifications.

This role offers the foundation for a rewarding long-term career in the electrical industry.

Key responsibilities

- Assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Perform basic electrical tasks under supervision, including cable laying, conduit installation, and wiring connections
- Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults and issues on industrial equipment
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and site requirements
- Keep accurate records of work completed and time spent on various tasks
- Attend and participate fully in required apprenticeship training and classroom instruction
- Use and maintain hand tools and electrical testing equipment correctly and safely
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues

What we're looking for

- A genuine interest in and passion for electrical work and the trades




- Completed or in the process of completing Certificate 2 in Electrotechnology
- Current driver's licence and your own car
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced, practical environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety at all times
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to understand technical documentation
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take direction from supervisors
- Reliability and a strong work ethic, with consistent attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications and complete formal apprenticeship training as required by the industry
