Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical Fitter / Machinist Apprentice. This position offers a unique prospect to learn and develop skills in mechanical fitting and machining under the guidance of experienced professionals. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment, contributing to the operational efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery and equipment according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Learn to operate and maintain various machine tools such as
- lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Assist in the installation and alignment of machinery components.
- Perform basic machining tasks including cutting, drilling, grinding, and shaping metal components.
- Inspect machinery parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Learn to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions.

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interest in mechanical fitting and machining.

Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and tools.





Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a hands-on environment.

Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Not necessary):

- Prior experience or coursework in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic machine shop practices and equipment.
- Relevant vocational or technical training.
