We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to appoint an experienced AI Solutions Architect / Technical Lead for a high-profile transformation programme. This is a unique opportunity to shape the organisation's next-generation data platform, designing an enterprise-scale data lake that will underpin future AI, machine learning and agentic AI capabilities.

This is a hands-on architecture leadership role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing technology strategy and working with senior stakeholders to deliver up-to-date, scalable data and AI solutions.

The Opportunity

As the Technical Lead, you'll own the end-to-end solution architecture across a strategic data and AI initiative. You'll be responsible for defining the target-state architecture, leading technical design decisions and ensuring the platform is built to support both current business needs and the organisation's long-term AI roadmap.

Working closely with business and technology leaders, you'll establish the architectural foundations required for secure, scalable and AI-ready data capabilities while maintaining the highest standards of governance, privacy and information management.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the solution architecture and technical direction across a major enterprise data and AI programme.
- Design and architect a modern enterprise data lake capable of supporting advanced analytics, AI, machine learning and future agentic AI solutions.
- Define scalable,



secure and resilient architecture patterns aligned with enterprise standards and best practice.
- Lead architecture workshops, technical reviews and design governance activities.
- Develop solution roadmaps that align data architecture with the organisation's long-term AI strategy.
- Provide strategic guidance on information management, data governance, metadata, security and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure architecture decisions consider privacy, regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
- Support occasional BAU Solution Architecture activities while maintaining focus on strategic project delivery.
- Mentor technical teams and provide leadership throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.

About You You'll be an experienced Solutions Architect who has operated in senior technical leadership roles, ideally delivering large-scale enterprise data platforms. You'll have a passion for emerging AI technologies and understand how today's architectural decisions enable tomorrow's intelligent systems.

You'll be comfortable engaging with executives, leading technical conversations and working autonomously in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Required Experience





- Proven experience as a Senior Solutions Architect or Technical Lead delivering enterprise-scale technology programmes.
- Strong expertise designing and implementing enterprise data platforms and modern data lake architectures.
- Deep understanding of data architecture, information management and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience defining architecture standards, governance frameworks and technology roadmaps.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, privacy and regulatory considerations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Experience balancing strategic transformation initiatives with operational architecture support.

Highly Desirable
- Experience designing AI-enabled enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI architectures.
- Understanding of vector databases, knowledge graphs, RAG architectures and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud data and AI services.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration, APIs, event-driven architecture and modern data engineering practices.
